Trip Up North-Part 1 (D.C., West Point, 4th of July)

Last summer we didn't make it up to NJ and the summer before that I flew up and didn't make our usual rounds so this summer we decided to make it a three week adventure. The original plan was for all of us to drive up and then Chris was going to go stay at his Dad's and work for him the whole month of July. Well, Chris got a job (yeah!) and our plans changed. Chris did drive up with us and then quickly went to see his parents and then flew home to start his job. I stayed and we are having lots of fun traveling around! First stop was to my brother's house to break up the trip. The big boys got lucky and there was a National's game going on so they were able to go to it and cross off that stadium on their list.

 Next we headed up to Mima and Papa's for a few days. We went up to West Point and got a very cool bus tour of the campus and learned some really cool things about West Point.

The next day was the 4th of July so it was off to the Ridgewood Parade where Chris meet back up with us. I think it was the best seats we have had in a long time! Good job Dad1

 That evening we went to Aunt Robyn's and Uncle Jack's for some dessert (which Kyle apparently thought was very good) and the fireworks. Next stop the lake!! Great start to our trip.
