Patriots Points Cub Scout Trip

This past weekend Chris and Owen got to go on a very cool Cub Scouts trip to Patriots Point in Charleston, SC. They left on Friday morning and were to get up there a little early to do some exploring. They met their pack that evening and headed onto the battleship where they would be spending the next two nights. Owen was beyond excited!

Lets just say there wasn't much sleeping going on the first night. Owen and Chris both had a really hard time sleeping. A whole new respect for the military. The second night went better but mostly because they were so exhausted from the full day they had.

 

 On Saturday they got to ride a boat over to Fort Sumter and then spent the rest of the day touring the battleship. Chris said Owen was in heaven. He couldn't get enough! He didn't want to leave. It was a really special weekend for the two of them. I am so glad they were able to do this by themselves. Owen truly has a passion for anything that has to do with the military and this trip only made him more excited.
