Trip up North

As I mentioned in my last post, the boys were all up north. Noah and Owen were with Mima and Papa for about a week and a half and then Chris drove the rest up and brought them all up to stay at the farm. Chris had to fly out for meetings in Seattle and we we were all united again this past Monday. I was greeted at the end of the driveway at the farm by all the kids and they had prepared a special birthday welcome for me. They had the golf cart decorated and all up the driveway was decorated with chalk. It was very cute and fun! It was great to see them all you can tell they were having a great time hanging at the farm. We spent the next several days in CT and filled the days with the usual farm activities and threw in some new ones also.
One day we went to this ropes course in the trees, which was a lot harder that I thought it was going to be, but so much fun! It was a great confidence booster for Noah who tends to get very nervous at these kind of activities. It would be great to be able to do more stuff like this with the kids. Another day was spent at Six Flags. Of course it was one of the hottest days of the summer, but everyone still had a great time. Kyle rode his first rollercoaster and loved all the kiddie rides.
All the big boys were brave enough to try the high swings and said it was great!

I was terrible at taking pictures this past week (which is very surprising)! All three of the big boys became experts at driving the golf carts on their owns and became pretty much obsessed with driving them constantly. As usual they wore themselves out and had a great time!
On Friday we drove down to NJ and were planning on spending the night and drive home Saturday. By this point we were all tired, missing home and in need of a routine.  It had been three weeks since we were all home together. So, Chris and I decided to stop in at my parents and then we loaded everyone up and drove through the night. This way we didn't have to listen to them fight, whine, and have to stop every five minutes for a someone to go to the bathroom. We are now all home and getting back to our summer routine!
