Happy Birthday Owen!

Dear Owen, Happy 8th Birthday! Another year older and you are continuing to grow into such a great little man. You are starting to discover what you love and enjoy. You have become passionate about anything that has to do with the military and you love riding your bike, especially mountain biking. Your brothers adore you and Connor thinks the world of you and looks us to you and follows your lead. You have some great friends who love being around you! Dad and I love your sense of humor and how kind and considerate you are to everyone. You will still retreat away to be by yourself after being around lots of people. You work so hard at school and you are doing great.  I pray that you will stay strong in your faith and always be able to stand up for what is right. There are times I can see you give into peer pressure even when you know it isn't right. I know this is all part of growing up and I worry sometimes that you want to please everyone that you will give into something you know is right. We have experienced some of this with you and are talking through how to handle these situations. Dad and I love you so much and so very proud of you! It was a fun celebrating you the past two days! Love, Mom
On Friday we started the day with cupcakes at school with your class and then after school you had your friends over for a pool party! Everyone had a great time!
Dennis (our neighbor) and Owen. These two play together all the time!
Kyle loved the party and being around all the big kids!
Owen's friends!
Beach Volleyball!

His birthday cake was military which he loved of course. After pizza and cake everyone went home and then we all ended up at the Back to School Festival for more fun. The next morning he woke up to balloons of course and birthday pancakes.
We went for a bike ride in the morning and then we were suppose to go to the movies, but all he wanted to do was build his new lego set. Noah had a game that afternoon and then we went out to dinner. After dinner we went to Barnes and Noble where he picked out a book for his birthday and we ended the day with ice cream. He said he had the best day, another thing we love about Owen, he is just happy being together! Happy 8th Birthday O! We love you so much!
