We just got back from a great week at the Gulf Shores in Alabama. Mom and Dad rented a house for all 16 of us so we could all be together and we could celebrate their 40 years of marriage. We had a great house that was right on the beach! We daily saw dolphins swim by! The kids played the whole time between the pool, beach and ocean. With 8 kids in the house there was always something going on. The kids really got along well and worn themselves out each night. We only had one day of rain which we tried our hardest to keep the kids busy. As a gift for Mom and Dad we got a professional photographer to take our pictures on the beach. I can't wait to see how they turned out. It was a much needed vacation for everyone!
Our great house!

Being buried on the beach by Dad!
Kyle hated the sand and wasn't fond of the pool. Most of the time he wanted to be up on the balcony. By the end of the week he got used to the sand.
Meal time was always interesting! We did do a couple of adult only dinners which was really nice.
We went to the zoo one morning and these two sure did become fond of each other.
The pool was great and we couldn't get Connor out of it most days.
I was just going to take their picture when a wave hit them. Love their looks. These three sure did have fun together.
Fun on the beach!

The day it rained all day if finally cleared up late that afternoon so we headed outside for a very intense football game. I love this picture of Connor and Bray "trying" to give each other high five! It was really windy that day.
They worked on digging the hole most of the week and then it turned into a bunker for their Army games.
On Thursday night we had a nice dinner without the little kids to celebrate Mom and Dad's Anniversary. My sister got this plate where we wrote down 40 memories. We spent the night talking about them and many more. It was a fun night.

Great picture of all the grandkids! Thanks Mom and Dad for a great week!
