Above is the Willis base camp, playing in the lake which in turn ended up being an never ending problem of trying to keep them out of the lake and Connor waking up Daddy.

It was a great weekend of making memories for our kids. Some things we learned was not to have our campsite on a slope. Connor was constantly falling and dropping his food, but guess what he can eat lots of dirt and not get sick and it is not fun to camp with an 18 month old. We also learned how great a very cold shower feels in the middle of the day and how our best purchase for this weekend was a battery operated fan for our tents. Our biggest lesson this weekend is to camp before the month of June and after the month of September. It was fun and hopefully it will be a yearly thing. It can just get easier as they get older right?

Love this!! We want to camp with Coltan this fall. What do you think? Too young still...he'll be two at the end of Sept. I need your pointers!!
